Everest Base Camp Trek is a well-known demanding trek in Khumbu Region, Nepal. Everest Base Camp is legendary for its stunning mountain peaks and the allegiance and sociability of its residents (the Sherpas); the Everest region (Khumbu) is one of the most popular targets for tourists in Nepal. As many of the routes through the mountains are strenuous, there are sufficient places to rest and enjoy a meal beside the route. While trekking is probable in Everest Region the whole year round, the best times to visit are from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to mid November. The winter is freezing cold and snow might make it complicated to trek Everest Base Camp; even though trekkers can walk up to Tengboche, and also lodges may be closed over this altitude. The trail ascends to Gorakh shep, the base point to the Promised Land Everest Base Camp or Kalapathar, close up view of Mt. Everest is seen from here. Climbing Gokyo Ri is another focused in this trek.
