Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager Job - Armstrong Flooring Products (AFP), a division of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., has a job opportunity for a Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager located in the New England or Eastern New York areas. The Retail Strategic Account SalesManager is responsible for covering key account relationships in the New England Region as well as defining strategy, maximizing sales penetration, obtaining optimum market share and the greatest profit potential with assigned retail strategic accounts. This position will take the lead in selling solutions that ensure the greatest exposure for all of the companys residential flooring product lines including Hardwood, Residential Sheet Vinyl, Laminate, Luxury Vinyl Tile and Accessories.
Key Responsibilities of the Retail Strategic Account Sales Representative:
:Gaining access to key decision makers and cultivating effective strategic relationships
:Gathering and analyzing customer information to understand growth opportunities, accurately diagnosing each accounts business issues, and developing customized account plans for each retailer
:Orchestrating resources in supplying and collaborating on mutually defined retail solutions
:Negotiating and implementing consultative product and merchandising programs that further penetrate assigned accounts at optimal profit margins
:Conducting ongoing business review and planning meetings with each retailer
:Providing milestones to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the process of communication and knowledge management
:Continually evaluating current and future sales probabilities, market trends, pricing, competition and new opportunities within each product category
:Collecting and reporting accurate and timely information as requested
:Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of Armstrong flooring products, distribution and the retail flooring industry
:Preparing business reports and managing expense account within budget
Required Qualifications of the Retail Strategic Account Sales Representative:
:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related work experience
:10+ years of successful field sales experience
:Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
:Experience as a top performer with outstanding results
:Valid US Drivers license
Desired Qualifications of the Retail Strategic Account Sales Representative:
:Previous successful field sales experience with key retailers and/or in the building products industry
:Floor covering industry experience
